Description

Winter.

I started a season series.
The first picture was Fall. Soon there will be spring and summer, too.

I am very proud on this work. The landscape was colored with Copic Markers and the sky was created with watercolors. It was simple somehow because I knew exactly which color tones I wanted to use and there weren't any complicated details on this picture. I'm so happy that it became like the sketch I had in my head.

Season Series:
- Spring
- Summer coming soon
- Fall
- Winter

Absolutely beautiful traditional piece! I guess I'll start from the top and work my way down I love how you handled the sky! The colors are absolutely beautiful, I love the lights and the darks of them. Also, I love how you splattered the white paint on top of them. Next, I love the simple outlines on the moon, tree, and hills. The tree especially, I love how it's completely black except for the thin line of light. Next, I love how you handled the light. It's so clear, the light I mean. I love the touches of yellow, and the shadows in blue. Everything about it is so beautiful. Then the man, he pulls the image together, I think. He adds a little bit of purpose to a drawing. I like the light on him too. Also, I like his casual pose. It is kinda unusual, in the middle of the woods. Or is that a village/town in the distance? Anyway, that brings me to the last point. I love the color of the hills in the distance. They really tie the ground in with the sky. Beautiful beautiful work, one of the best traditional pieces I've seen in a while.
